Day 473
53,225 km since the beginning of the journey
Etosha National Park was founded in 1907, the initial size of the park was 100.000 km2, and at this time it was the world's largest national park. Currently, the park covers an area of 22,270 km2.
And the price of the tickets is customer-friendly. The day ticket of Etosha will cost 90 N$, that is 9 EUR and it means - 80N$ per person and 10N$ per car.
A picture from a bigger road.. At first I passed it, but then stopped and drove back, somehow the green snake seemed familiar. This picture has been taken through the bus window, I did not want to get out because there is always a small chance that maybe it actually pretends to be dead. And it is able to move quite quickly.
Lions in the shade.
Drinking places are full of animals.
Next a turtle appears from a side road
The turtle moves surprisingly fast towards the car and...
...tries to climb under the car ... but does not fit. And does not intend to go back either. It is 30 degrees outside and a bit sheltered under the car. I drive a few yards back and help the animal back to the right direction.
Camper with German license plate.
If you wish, you can fly here as well.
In the park there is a shop and the windows are covered with stickers of different countries.
The Estonian flag was added to the only spare spot on the bottom row.
And there are cheetahs again at the next stopover.
Waiting for dinner. Meat is handed over by a stick.
